Hi SoCal Piggies, 

 

I have missed hosting the meetings the last couple of months, but looking forward to hosting again in December of January.  

 

In the meantime, I have a client who is looking for some senior Python talent to help them design and develop several large web properties, as well as some other APIs and tools.  They are looking for senior level talent either on an hourly contract or permanent salaried basis, and salaries/rates are wide open and depend on experience.  This client is located on the west side of Los Angeles and your key technical skills should include Python, Django or other common frameworks, Web Services, Linux, and MySQL or Oracle.  Also, big plusses would be experience with cloud computing and distributed computing technologies like EC2, Cassandra, Hadoop, etc. Experience with multiple open source programming languages like PHP, Perl, Java, Clojure, Scala, Erlang, JavaScript, etc. is also desired.
