[socal-piggies] Open source ports for Mac

[Chuck Esterbrook]

This came up in our last meeting. There are projects like Fink and
MacPorts that aim to make it easier to get various open source
packages installed on your Mac. Have people found these worthwhile?
Are there others?

There was some discussion, but I forget if there was a verdict or consensus.
