Senior Open Source Consultant, Burbank, CA

Contract: 6 months +

Rate: Open, DOE

Target candidate:  Open Source consultative expert - familiar with Open Source technologies - strong as a developer but a larger architecture point of view and has the ability to teach/train other developers in these skill sets.  Familiar with plug-ins and tools that work well with Open Source web applications.  Other preferred experience: Python, Django, Zope, Plone, Linux, Apache, Perl, and/or PHP, etc.

Project:  Ecommerce website for a large entertainment client.  Current status is in discovery phase through the end of this month and will take on the candidate as soon as possible.  Work will include complete web presence redesign including architecture, technology evaluation, and implementation utilizing common open source web technologies, tools, frameworks, and programming languages, preferably Python.

Location/Duration:  Someone located in LA area and flexible for light travel as well to NY (3rd party vendor is there, expenses paid) - client is in Burbank.  This project will likely run through the summer 5-6 months +.  Contract-to-hire or contract extension may be available for the right candidate.
