    I'm an associate biologist in the laboratory of Paul Sternberg
at Caltech.  My interest in Python has two motives:

1. In order to make full use of the Cistematic software platform:

2. Just to learn what is clearly a very effective programming
language.  (Perl rules in bioinformatics, but its syntax always
reminds me of badly-subtitled Cantonese martial-arts movies.)
