<div><br></div>Does vi(m) really offer more features then the best IDE's available for Python?<div><br></div><div>I use vim with a pyflakes plugin a lot (and a macro that runs make, which'll usually have a default rule that runs pylint), but I've been considering trying PyCharm; it reportedly has a good set of vi keybindings.</div>
<div><br></div><div>Why do I use vi? Partly because of inertia; partly because I've learned to dislike leaving home row while editing; and partly because I've asked many IDE fans why I should use something else, but I've yet to hear any compelling reasons in response.</div>
<div><br></div><div>But honestly, so many people seem to like IDE's today, that I feel a little like I'm missing the party. Why should I switch? First, let me (re)introduce myself: I'm Fabio Zadrozny, and I've been the main PyDev developer for a long time.<br>

I'm reaching out for you today to ask for your help to keep PyDev properly supported, as well as improving some aspects of Eclipse itself (especially for those that like to work with a Dark theme).<br>
