<div dir="ltr">Would there be any interest in the SoCal piggies having a booth at this event? I used to run the LA perl mongers group (<a href="http://la.pm.org">la.pm.org</a>) and we really found the SCALE to be a positive experience. <br>
<br>We had to have a few dedicated people sit in the booth for shifts (two people per shift) and one of our members coded a nice demonstration of perl performance metrics on his laptop. We also handed out cards, flyers, talked about perl projects, etc. The best thing is that the cost is nothing and it's a great venue to build "brand" recognition and maybe even a few converts ;) <br>
<br>Just a thought. I had a great time at the last meeting and found it to be extremely informative.<br><br>BTW: I do want to point out that while I helped, I had limited ability to sit in the booth since I was already in the booth directly across the <a href="http://la.pm">la.pm</a> members for my former employer. I don't want to claim to have made a contribution beyond what I was able to do at the time!<br>

If you'd like a expo booth for your project at the 7th Annual So Cal Linux Expo, please submit your proposal.<br>

The proposals should be submitted in the form of a 1-page extended abstract comprising:<br>
1. The name of your group or open source project.<br>
2. A group or project logo, and contact information including name and email address. (logo needed for publishing on the website)<br>
3. A list or a brief description of the main points to be presented should be submitted. Please include enough detail that will enable the committee to evaluate the proposal.<br>
4. Describe how your participation will benefit both the Southern California Linux Expo and the attendees.<br>

Submission formats in text or PDF will be accepted. Qualifying exhibitors will be allocated a booth in the SCALE exhibit hall which will include one 6 foot table, two chairs, one network drop and one 500 watt electrical outlet.<br>
