The PyLadies http://pyladies.com are holding their October Hackathon
this Saturday October 22 from 9:30am-5pm in Pasadena, at Idealab.

At this event, we want to give you the opportunity to focus on your
own Python projects. Bring your laptop and a Python coding project of
your own! Idealab has offered us a huge venue with lots of rooms.
Participants are expected to come with laptops, ready to work on their
own coding projects. This is an event for programmers and people
learning to program.

This is *not* a networking event. If you come purely to
recruit/bother developers who are trying to focus on coding, you will
be asked to leave.

Register here: http://pyladies-idealab-october.eventbrite.com/

There will be a Beginners' Room for self-directed study of Zed Shaw's
"Learn Python the Hard Way" book, a Django Room focused on
authentication/registration/profiles, a Python Packaging Room, and
more. We're also open to you bringing projects you are currently
working on and recruiting fellow developers to help with your ideas.

Date: October 22, 2011 9:30AM - 5:00PM
Location: 130 W. Union Street, Pasadena, CA 91103
Price: $20 -- includes breakfast, lunch, and all-day hacking. Any
leftover funds go toward PyLadies outreach efforts
