by 'echo server' I mean that data received should be echoed *back to the
sender*.

That is, if Jessica (on vacation in Seattle) sets up a server on 
jessica.seattle.com, port 2000 and Owen (working in the bowels of the
Egr building) connects to jessica.seattle.com, port 2000, from his
laptop, then whatever Owen sends over the network connection will be
sent *back* to Owen.
