Hi,

We've been using PyCogent over the last 1.5 years for parsing standard  
file formats, handling alignments, accessing NCBI, and wrapping some  
3rd party applications. Especially students are quite happy with it  
because the package overcomes some of BioPythons disadvantages (works  
reliably in our PC pool).
