* Merge branch kaben-2-0-b0 into MAIN branch.
  This commit corresponds to the version 2.0b1 source tarball just released
  on our sourceforge project page:

    http://osdn.dl.sourceforge.net/sourceforge/avida/avida-2.0b1.tar.gz

* Improved cross-platform compatibility; can now build on Linux, Mac OS X,
  and Windows XP (although this last is pretty tricky).

* Build tree revised to simplify builds on Windows XP / Visual Studio.net.
  - removed qmakeMakefile.inc
  - added source/qt-viewer/qt-viewer.pro, from which qt-viewer.qmakefile is
    generated by gnumake and qmake.  qmake can also generate
    Windows Visual Studio.net project files, and Mac OS X Project Builder
    project files.

Credit to Sherri and Jason for their work on the Windows version.
