* I'm in the process of restoring recursive-style makefiles,
  for the sake of compatibility with older versions of
  aclocal/autoconf/automake.

  Per discussion w/MSU lab members, qt-viewer builds will be performed
  using qmake on separately maintained qmake-.pro files.
