* A quick short-term fix of corruption in qt-viewer plot windows:
  - for each standard data file, at update zero, clear that data file.
  - this is fragile because the user can change initial write to occur
    whenever they want, and so can corrupt the plot-window.
  - longer-term fix is use of flags in avida indicating whether there is
    valid data to be plotted; and if there is, where it can be found.
    for now, "where" is a predetermined column in a predetermined file,
    but later we'll make the plot viewer understand the semantics of the
    file column headers, and tell it which files to read.
