Correct handling of immediate events in event viewer;
event viewer save dialog defaults to file name "events.cfg".

To do:  when switching from non-immediate to immediate trigger type, it
would be nice if the interval values were saved in case the user wants
to switch back.

To do:  this is yet another section of functional but ugly code.  a
cleanup will be in order.
