Dear Colleagues,

Given the success of the previous edition in Cancun, we're reorganizing the workshop on Multi-disciplinary applications of Evolutionary game Theory at ECAL 2017 in Lyon.

Evolutionary game theory joins mathematical concepts of classical game theory with evolutionary principals from biology. The method has been shown to be very fruitful in modeling systems in many different fields, from biology to economy and sociology. Its success lies in two facts: it does not need the assumption of rationality and its solutions offer the whole dynamics of the system, not just its equilibria.

Evolutionary game theory is profoundly interdisciplinary and the flow of knowledge between different fields is of crucial importance for its future development and application. The goal of the workshop is to show the state-of-the-art of the field and connect researchers with different backgrounds, from physicists and computer scientists to economists and sociologists and invite them to share ideas and learn from each other. This workshop also aims to introduce the evolutionary game theory to researchers traditionally participating in artificial life meetings in order to instigate the exchange of ideas and methods.

This year Dirk Semman (Max-Planck Institute for Evolutionary Biology) will provide us with a keynote on his latest experimental work.

We invite the submission of short one- or four-page abstracts, where short one-page ones are preferably discuss some recently published work.
Successful submissions will be allocated a 20-minute presentation slot. Presented abstracts will be collected and published on a web
page. Abstract should be submitted via an easychair website: https://ai.vub.ac.be/AlifeEGT2017/contributions

*DATES*:
July 6, 2017: Abstract submission deadline
Notifictions of acceptance will be given in the week afterwards
