The Vrije Universiteit Brussel AI lab has two PhD positions available 
which might be interesting for MSc students of A-life related

The AI lab in Brussels is looking for a paid PhD student to model the 
cultural evolution of Kata Kolok, a village sign language using an 
agent-based model. The project is part of a larger research group 
investigating the emergence and evolution of language and speech.

acquisition of speech using spectrotemporal features and dynamic 
Bayesian networks. The project is part of a larger research group 
investigating the emergence and evolution of language and speech.
