Dear ALife community,

We are excited to announce the public release of our COEL simulation framework. COEL is a unique, web-based framework for the definition and manipulation of several unconventional computational models, but primarily Chemical Reaction Networks (CRNs) as well as complex Boolean and real-valued networks.

A technical description as well as an example of how it can be used for CRNs can be found here: http://arxiv.org/abs/1407.4027
The paper will be presented at the 7th Complex Systems Modelling and Simulation Workshop (CoSMoS 2014) at ALIFE 14: www.cosmos-research.org/cosmos2014.html

If you are interested to try out COEL, you may register for an account on the COEL website: http://coel-sim.org (no installation required).

The first publicly available release (version 0.7.0) exposes a core part of the CRN functionality. This is a unique opportunity to become an early adaptor and to influence future developments.

For questions, please contact Peter Banda at banda at pdx.edu.

Best,
Peter and Christof
