Master's Degree Programme in Brain and Mind

Aalto University's School of Science offers a challenging and new Master's Degree Programme in Brain and Mind.  The programme is organized by the Department of Biomedical Engineering and Computational Science (BECS) together with the Brain Research Unit (BRU) of the Low temperature Laboratory .

Candidates should be especially interested in learning a cross-disciplinary approach where knowledge and skills derive from a diverse array of sciences, including:

  *   Physics
  *   Mathematics
  *   Engineering
  *   Neuroscience
  *   Psychology
  *   Sociology
  *   Cognitive science

We are looking for individuals who are willing to expand their studies beyond the conventional borders of the above-mentioned disciplines. This programme is designed to challenge the students by providing them a demanding yet rewarding education in close contact with ongoing state-of-the-art research. The quantitative skills that the students gain make our graduates highly qualified for pursuing doctoral training and a successful career in science.

Candidates should hold a Bachelor's Degree in Science or Engineering and have an outstanding study record in mathematics and/or physics.
