** Postdoc Position at Osaka University **

The Advanced Network Architecture Research Group at Osaka University, 
Japan, will have an opening for one postdoctoral research fellow in 
the field of information networking. The position can be occupied 
from September 2011 for a period of one or two years with the 
possibility of further extension.


Research topics include:
 * analysis of multiple bio-inspired networking protocols
 * energy-efficient optical networks: noise-assisted, bio-inspired, or others
 * design and evaluation of optical path/packet integrated networks


The candidate must have a Ph.D. degree. Good general knowledge about 
information network architectures, as well as an interest in the above
research topics, is expected. We would highly welcome a candidate with a strong 
background in mathematics, complex systems, nonlinear systems, and 
mathematical biology.

The decision will be made based on the research background, 
publications in prestigious international journals and conferences, 
and research statement of the candidate.
