LECTURESHIP IN COMPLEX SYSTEMS SIMULATION
Applications are invited for a lectureship in complex systems
simulation at the University of Southampton, UK.
- Please forward this announcement to potential applicants -
Applications from outstanding researchers are invited for a
Lectureship in Complex Systems Simulation to join the School of
Electronics and Computer Science (ECS) in the Faculty of Physical and
Applied Sciences.
ECS is the pre-eminent school of its kind in the UK with a world-class
reputation for computer science and electronics, and a growing
reputation for fundamental and applied complexity science.
This appointment is an opportunity for a researcher with an
outstanding track record to join and help to develop a complexity
science activity within ECS’s Science and Engineering of Natural
Systems (SENSe) research group.
Candidates should be engaged in a combination of fundamental and
applied complexity science research, employing and developing novel
computational methodologies. The use of complex systems simulation to
help solve real-world problems in science or engineering will be an
advantage. Experience of securing research funding and of teaching and
supervising at undergraduate/post-graduate level is desirable. The
successful applicant will be closely involved in Southampton’s
Doctoral Training Centre in Complex Systems Simulation and will be
expected to play a leading role in developing new collaborative
research activities across the University.
