Fully-funded PhD Studentship
Artificial Biochemical Networks Project
Intelligent Systems Group, University of York, UK
======================================

We have a fully-funded PhD studentship available on the Artificial
Biochemical Networks (AlBiNo) project. The AlBiNo project aims to
develop novel computational approaches motivated by the complex
biochemical networks that are responsible for the form and function of
biological organisms. The PhD will involve investigating the
computational behaviour of artificial biochemical networks, and will
cover topics in evolutionary computation, artificial life and
dynamical systems theory.

The studentship covers the cost of tuition at the UK/EU rate and
provides a tax-free stipend of around £13,000 per year for three
years. Non-EU students are also welcome to apply, but will need to
fund the difference in tuition costs.

The appointed student will work within the Intelligent Systems Group,
one of the UK's largest research groups in the area of bio-inspired
computing. The University of York is one of the world's top 100
universities, and regularly ranks within the top 10 UK universities.

Further details, including how to apply, are available at:

If you are interested in applying for this studentship and would like
to know more about the project, please contact Professor Andy Tyrrell (amt at ohm.york.ac.uk
) in the first instance.
