 SCOPE *

 ********

With the rapid development of Internet and other new technologies,
eLearning is becoming one of the most wide spread ways of distance
teaching. Technologies such as Grid, Web and wireless networks are
pushing teaching and learning communities to find new and intelligent
ways of using the technology to enhance teaching and learning
activities. Indeed, these new technologies can play an important role
in increasing the support to teachers and learners, yet it is
necessary to use intelligent methods to achieve the desired support
and performance in distributed learning environments.

 ********************************************************

THIS EDITED VOLUME WILL FOCUS ON THE FOLLOWING TOPICS *

 ********************************************************

+ Intelligent Distributed data repositories for eLearning

+ Semantic and ontology-based approaches for eLearning workspaces,
navigation and visualization

+ Intelligent virtual laboratories and eLearning environments based
on Grid and Web Technologies

+ Intelligent methods and agent-mediated approaches to support online
team coordination in large-scale distributed environments

+ Intelligent methods for service discovery, allocation and
deployment for eLearning systems

+ Methodology and practice of semantic Grid and Web for eLearning

+ Intelligent methods for knowledge management in eLearning

+ Computational intelligence for supporting Virtual Organizations

+ Computational intelligence methods for data analysis and mining of
eLearning activities

+ Computational Intelligence for using mobile devices in eLearning

 SUBMISSION PROCEDURE & GUIDELINES *

 *************************************

Researchers and practitioners are invited to submit on or before
January 31st, 2009, a 2-3 page manuscript proposal (Word or PDF)
explaining the mission and concerns of the proposed chapter. Authors
of accepted proposals will be notified by February 15th, 2009 about
the status of their proposals and sent chapter organizational
guidelines. Full chapters are expected to be submitted by May 15th,
