              Intelligent and Evolutionary Systems
      ***************************************************
             Melbourne, 7th - 8th December, 2008

Intelligent and adaptive systems using evolutionary computation
techniques have attracted increasing attentions in recent years.
This Symposium aims to bring together researchers from countries
of the Asian Pacific Rim in the fields of intelligent systems and
evolutionary computation to exchange ideas, present recent results
and discuss possible collaborations. Researchers from elsewhere
are also welcome.

This year, IES2008 is being held in conjunction with SEAL'08,
the 2008 conference on Simulated Evolution and Learning.

PUBLICATION OF CONFERENCE PAPERS

It is planned to republish selected papers from the conference as
a special issue of the journal
